![]() It is a general subreddit for the Grand Strategy Game from Paradox Interactive: Europa Universalis 4. This is a sub-reddit for Europa Universalis IV. your strenght comes mainly from your subject nations, which throw their manpower into your enemy, whereas you are simply sieging down targets to either white piece enemy alliances or to destroy the primary target.EU4 Wiki /r/Paradoxplaza Patch Notes Dev Diaries Paradox Forums Livestreams Discord Welcome to EU4 Quantity is also helpful at times, but not a must. You need it in late game to fast siege those lvl 6 - lvl 8 forts. For a WC, Offensive is a must though, because of the +20% Siege ability. But again, there is a reason why i strongly advice to use Influence and Diplomatic.Īnd no, millitary ideas are not needed as much. You dont need much diplomats when you know how to use them. The tempo of diplo annexing is the same with Influence or Diplomatic, but Influence does it cheaper which eventually gives you more diplo points overall. Want a WC? Get Influence first to diplo annex your vassal swarm. Form Roman Empire? Get diplo first so you have better chances to get PUs. Originally posted by 002:so get diplo first? Then whats next? And should i get any mil ideas early on too?Īgain, it depends on what you want to do. hmmm okay in which order should i get these idea groups for WC? You are usually in midgame such a powerhouse, that you dont even really need alliances anymore and are constantly the target of a coalition after every war, which doesnt matter anyway. relations give you enough space for your PU/Vassal swarm. helps you alot with diplomatic actions and the diplo. Stacking the modifier Improve Relations is so much better to get AE down pretty fast. But rather recently i experienced, how going diplomatic is just so much better. I played this game for +1000 hours and i was too a huge believer in those -x% aggressive expansion impact. If i might add something from personal experience. Even Admin isnt needed to form the Roman empire. But creating the Roman empire doesnt need it, you are better off going full diplomatic and get yourself some Personal Unions. Originally posted by Medicles:Well, for a WC it has its potential use, like i said before. If you can handle corruption on your own, i would go for something else, like Humanist and maybe Quantity. The last two can be done as you like, if you want to tackle corruption, Espionage and Defensive are quite a nice option. ![]() I also heavily advice to go for Diplomatic, but its not a must have. Administrative, Religious, Influence, Exploration and Offensive are key idea groups you dont want to miss. If you go for WC though, some ideas are just must have. Well, for a WC it has its potential use, like i said before. ![]()
